New Decisions

On Friday June 28th as the whole world saw, was the day when the Supreme Court made same sex marriage legal in all 50 states. The gay community is rejoicing because they got what they wanted. Same sex marriage is legal, just as legal as traditional marriage, between one man and one woman.

Since the ruling on same sex marriage Christians have spoke what they believe about it. How they believe that marriage is only between one man and one woman the way God ordained it. Christians have gotten hate mail ever since they voiced their opinion, about anything. We get bashed because of our strong foundation, a foundation that is rooted in the Bible. I've heard a lot about tolerance. that everyone just wants tolerance on the issues we face in the world today. I think we all need to be refreshed on what tolerance really is.

Tolerance- a fair, objective and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, beliefs, practices, racial or ethnic origins differ from one's own, freedom from bigotry.
Christians tolerate what non-Christian's do. We even tolerate what fellow Christian's do, despite what we believe or think. It is not our place to judge and condemn people to hell because of their sins. It is our job as Christian's to stand up for what we believe in, and do so IN LOVE, and compassion and respect.
Yes, homosexuality is a sin, it is an abomination unto God. Lev 18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
1Co 6:9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 
1Co 6:10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 

Let us Christian's not just point out that homosexuals shall not enter into the kingdom of God because that is the issue that is on fire right now. But let us also say that adulterers, thieves, and drunkards shall not inherit the kingdom of God. If we are going to stand up for what we believe in and help people understand that they will not go to Heaven if they continue in these sinful acts, we cannot just point out one sin, we need to point out all sins. 

The next verse in 1 Corinthians 6:11 says:  
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
In the verse we see that Peter is telling us that God will fulfill his promises on time, and that he does not want anyone to perish or die in sin, but he wants all mankind to repent and to seek after him and enter into the kingdom. That should be what we want too. we should want all sinners to find repentance and to make it to heaven. 

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. 
Everyone is capable of sin, and everyone has sinned. no man is without sin. It is just a matter of if we repent of our sins, and follow after God, and believe in him and stand on his word.
